She also spent 14 years as a platform artist and educator for Sebastian International, teaching around the world, before opening her own salon, Ankh Studio, 17 years ago.

Linda says “ One of the best rewards I get comes from the numerous times clients have told me how welcome they feel and how comfortable they are in the salon and how it is different from any other salon they have been to. I wanted it to feel more like you were in someones home, rather than a salon and I think our clients feel that”. Nancy Franco

Nancy Franco began her career in 1973 at Jon Peters Salon in Encino, California as an apprentice for Geri Cusenza who, with her husband John Cusenza, were developing Sebastian products. Nancy traveled with Geri and John throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan doing shows introducing Sebastian, which in turn, became a huge success and was marketed worldwide.

In 1976, Geri Cusenza and partners opened Cassandre 2000 in Tarzana, California where Nancy became both artistic director and head of the educational apprentice program. She became a member of the artistic team that traveled the globe doing shows as well as seminars and videos for Sebastian in Los Angeles and Japan. “I saw the world and met many wonderful people,” Nancy says. “We all became family and worked with the best in the business.”

Creative and artistic in her personal and professional life, Nancy now works at Ankh Studio where she specializes in great haircuts and color. “Eclectic and personable” would be good characterizations of Nancy. “I enjoy working with my clients, showing them what’s new on the horizon, making them look and feel fantastic, and watching them walk away with a smile and feeling great! Nina Garcia

Nina Garcia has always been quite the artist. No matter if it was drawing, painting, performing, and especially haircutting. She was so confident to take her skills out to world that she took the step to take a high school proficiency test at the age of 16 to get a head start. As soon as she turned 17, she applied and got accepted to attend Newberry School of Beauty. Always eager to learn, after just 6 months in school and only 2 months out on the floor, a wonderful client walked in for a wash and blow-dry. Instantly loving the head massage from Nina that came along with the wash as well as her beautiful blow-dry, she immediately recommended her to a salon named Ankh Studio for an assistant job. Unfortunately the stylist that was referred to her already hired an assistant a couple weeks back, but gave her a better referral to assist the owner Linda Rich. After passing the license exam in 2007, she commenced to work as soon as possible. Quickly learning the routine within assisting and managing the salon, her abilities to listen and work with the clients have grown immensely over time. Loving each learning moment with Linda along with the other amazing stylists at the salon, she began to bring in her own clients within a year of working at Ankh. With her definite growing business, she gives each client time to explain exactly what they want along with her honest perspective on the outcome and what would work best for their hair accommodating their career and everyday life. She strives for the best and always loves to see the relaxed and satisfied faces of her clients as they go out to show off their beautiful hair.

Jennie Albeno

Jennie started her beauty career straight out of high school. She attended beauty school at West Valley Occupational Center in 2004-06.   Immediately after, she began to work at Ankh Studio as an assistant with Sherrie, who is a very busy and talented hair dresser. After completing her apprenticeship, she has earned her place on the floor. Now Jennie is a stylist with lots of passion and ambition and with a growing clientele. She specializes in Brazilian blowouts and enjoys doing all services.
